Changes in Mindset.

Before working with Darren, I was in a state of confusion.
I’ve heard about the whole idea of habit tracking and building from multiple friends and even read parts of the Atomic Habits. But the concepts never really clicked and resonated with me.
I think the biggest issue was keeping and staying on track of everything that I want to do and become. But the goal was far too grand to complete without a clear direction and a solid plan.
In order to solve these issues, I’ve tried talking to multiple friends and bouncing ideas off of them.
As I’ve read bits and pieces of the Atomic Habits, I think there was minor progress within my path of goal completion, but I was still not exactly content with the results.

What eventually led me to booking a session with Darren is through a friend’s referral and the desire of changing perspectives in order to see if there are other ways to execute the ideas of habit building.
While working with Darren, I was a bit concerned with the whole idea of “not focusing so much on the end result, but rather focusing on the process.”
I had doubts that I might not be able to complete my goals and get the results I wanted or rather defined since there was no clear indicator if the habit building that I am doing is helping me with the overall goals.
In the end, it was changing my mindset that overcame these doubts and concerns.
Overall, the biggest change is definitely mindset.
As Darren had pointed out during our sessions, as long as we possess the qualities of people who we want to become, there is no way that others can claim that you are not qualified.
Say I want to become a senior developer. I can possess the qualities of a senior but not necessarily have the title. And if I were not recognized as a senior in my current company, I can always apply and go to other companies where they see my worth and title as a senior developer.
In other words, titles and outside opinions don’t define us, our qualities do. And that’s the biggest concept and mindset change I have learned from Darren.
Three specific benefits and achievements I’ve received after working with Darren are changes in mindset, a calmer state of mind, and the idea of perseverance.
One of my goals that I’ve set up while working with Darren was to journal everyday and explore my mind in order to attain peace.
Doing that daily isn’t hard, but it definitely can feel like a chore from time to time since I am personally not strong in the area of perseverance.
I mostly had things easily handed to me. But keeping up with the habit building daily was a great setup and practice to keep my mind clear and stable while installing the idea of perseverance in my mind as well.
You should try a session with Darren if you want to fully execute the ideas of habit building and have an experienced personnel guide you through them as you construct a system that works for you.
